That module 56 readout would've given part number and what settings it's got. The pressing CD button twice should be done when you've got your Aux connected and playing. If it's just the single jack in the centre console then try giving it a squirt with Servisol as they're prone to dust. Otherwise make sure it's connected to your headunit by
See the B6/3C Passat Wiki Page. Y = Control Module is capable of Rapid Data Transfer (i.e. it "talks" to VAG-COM) N = Control Module (if it exists) is not capable of Rapid Data Transfer. Very helpful pics! Many other inaccuracies in the '07 VW Passat owner's manual for the fuse panal references. Has anyone found an accurate reference for all fuse panels? The dealer will not divulge, nor will VW America. Finding and replacing the cigarette lighter fuse cost me $55 at the dealer from whom I bought the car - still under factory
Passat (B6) Free Shipping on Audi Accessories with code AUDIBELLSVS2023 Dec. 19-31 This is a VW Tech Tip that I downloaded a while ago. Funny thing is, the fan only stays on when I get home from work - not going to work. The only difference is that I'm parking next to a wall in the garage instead of next to the fence.
Hi there, thanks for writing in about your 2008 Volkswagen Passat. If the blower motor resistor and connector are good, then the only other thing that can cause the problem is the blower control switch or connector. Check the resistor to make sure you have good connections and that the resistor is not blown again.

Expect this to continue happening and likely get worse as other coolant heat exchangers (oil cooler, EGR cooler, perhaps even the main radiator) get clogged, as well.

Rebuilt engine and the radio doesn't work. Trying to see if there is more than one fuse for this circuit. Haven't been able to find anything online.

Don't mean to dig up an old post, but I had this problem in my 2006 Passat (B6) last month. In the drivers side fuse panel, check fuse #15. Mine was blown and when I replaced the 5A fuse I got all my interior and trunk lights back. This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread.
