If you wanna play Heroes board game (but without license) then try Mage Knight Ultimate Edition. You can play it solo (solo is probably best mode of this game) and it is amazing boardgame. Ultimate edition has 3 expansions included so it is plenty of fun for long time.

Put the TCP and UDP ports of the Heroes Of Might And Magic 5 servers in the boxes in your router. The default Heroes Of Might And Magic 5 port number is 6668.
We have Heroes 3 Complete installed and run the HD mod. We have our Hamachi IPs on the TCP/IP lobby in the game, so Hamachi is active. We can Ping each other, so there is a Hamachi connection. I am running Windows 10, he is with Windows 7. He has put Hamachi connection on top so it has top priority over other network connections.

Yeah pretty sure their cost for the servers was higher then the amount of players playing MP! but I see some players playing it. I just can't join them. They have green "NAT" when I have red "NAT". My friend has same as me. Just like we have something wrong, but players with green NAT can play.

Download HD mod, put it into HOMM3 folder, download HOTA, put that into the same folder, open HD mod and should be able to select HOTA to run from that. I always just Google the names: "Heroes of might and magic 3 HD mod", "Heroes of might and magic 3 Horn of the abyss".

Install/Porting is simple: 1. Get Porting Kit or Crossover if you don’t have it yet. 2. Then download the GOG.com offline backup setup files from Heroes of Might & Magic 3 from GOG.com. 3. Then in Porting Kit search the game on the library –> server tab and click install. 4. After installation of the game, “exit” the GOG installer.
